Is Active Release® the same as... (insert whatever technique name you were told is the same as ART® here)?

No matter what a massage therapist, PT, or other chiropractor told you, no technique is the same as ART® . In fact, this technique is so unique, it was granted patent protection by the United States government. Providers professionally trained by Dr. Leahy and his board of instructors are the only ones who can perform ART® on you. Please go to www.activerelease.com or call 888-396-2727 to verify your provider's credentials. This is CRUCIAL to make sure you are getting the real ART® and not some knock-off version being offered by unqualified people. You deserve the best, make sure you get it.

Do you accept insurance?

We currently accept many major insurance plans, including:

  • United Health Care
  • Great West
  • Mountain Medical Affiliates
  • PHCS
  • Humana
  • Kaiser PPO (not HMO)
  • Mail Handlers Benefit
  • PacifiCare
  • Aetna PPO
If your plan's not listed above, we may still take your insurance. Your best bet is to call the number on your card.

Do you take x-rays?

No. It has been my experience that the vast majority of patients who come into my office do not require x-rays to have their problems treated effectively. Sometimes, however, x-rays may be beneficial. It is our policy to refer you to your primary care doctor if we believe you need x-rays.

What are your office hours?

Patient appointments are available Mon — Fri, 9am — 4pm. Exceptions may be made if necessary. Presently, Tuesday afternoons and all of Wednesday are booked for corporate contracts.

Can you see me today?

If you are hurting and need to be seen today, we will try to make time for you. It is our policy not to make people who are hurting wait. However, due to the popularity of our office, this may not be possible. If you are in severe pain and for some reason can not get a hold of us, you should go to the emergency room. Can Active Release® fix everything?

Unfortunately, Active Release® is not a magic cure all. It can however, treat most problems that people bring to Denver Chiropractic Center. Since Active Release® is the best method there is for treating soft tissue problems, chances are that it can indeed help you. At Denver Chiropractic Center, we will always tell you if we don't think our services are right for your case.

How long will it take?

Every case is different, however most take 4-10 visits. You should notice an improvement after the first few treatments. We never tell patients they need to come 3 times a week for a month before they see any change. Never.

Why we don't offer "Free Initial Consultations"

Lots of my colleagues offer FREE INITIAL CONSULTATIONS in various ads. Every once in a while, someone calls here asking if the first visit is free. I'm sorry, but the answer is no, not at our office.

In my office, the focus is on figuring out what your problem is, fixing it quickly, and sending you back to your regular life. We do not X-ray our patients. We do not tell our patients they need to see us 3 times a week for 6 months. That's not a knock against those that operate that way, but that's not how our office does things.

Treatment in our office often fixes the problem in a few visits. If that's something that sounds good to you, come on in. The first visit won't be free (unless I can't help you) but you will get an honest assessment of your problem.
