LEADVILLE HEAVY HALF TRAIL MARATHON

                    Welcome back everyone!  It was an excellent holiday weekend, and I hope you all took advantage of the great weather.    Saturday was the Leadville Heavy Half Trail Marathon.  The entire event was very well run from the check-in, trail markers, aid stations, to the post-race volunteers.  I want to thank everyone involved for putting on such an excellent event.  I will definitly be back for more punishment next year.  My finishing time was 3:07:58 for the 15 mile Heavy Half, finished 54th overall out of 215 finishers, and was 4th in my age division.  I stayed very well hydrated (filled my Nathan water bottle at each aid station), maintained proper running form (for the most part), and really enjoyed myself.  It was such a friendly and positive atmosphere with encouragement from volunteers, spectators, and other runners.  Great times in the mountains!

 Todays workout is done as a circuit for 5 complete sets and will stress both energy pathways.  Total jump rope time will be 40 min.  I will be using lighter weight with the kettlebell to ensure proper form throughout the circuit.
